Seat beams glued in place with seat cross pieces. Note use of clamping blocks to protect fuselage parts and plastic cling wrap to prevent glueing of clamping blocks or assembly table to fuselage frame. Rear view of assembled cockpit area. Control column support beams glued into place with column installed. (Note design of column was changed later with push/pull rods installed for the aileron system). Frame of seat clearly visible. Floor plywood installed, 1/8″ thick. Seat plywood pan glued to supporting seat frame. Basic completed fuselage frame for Maya Ultralight. Rudder pedals fitted with hinges attached through floor support cross-piece. Slot on front of frame #2 where elevator cable return pulley is fitted. Seat Back of cockpit (frame #5). From top left:- auxillary fuel tank inlet, fuel tank sight gauge, fuel primer bulb, socket for external 12V supply (car battery) with starter switch and ignition key lock. The starter switch and keylock were as supplied by Konig. Sealed battery box option fitted in parcel shelf behind pilot.
